Memorial Held For Col Springs In Fort Mill
More than 400 friends and relatives gathered for a simple 17 minute memorial service for Col Springs 63 aviator author and Springs Mill textile empire head. The body was cremated and brief remarks by Rev John Edwin Wayland along with Scripture hymns prayer and benediction closed the service. Flowers adorned the sanctuary and a public address system carried the service to those outside. The Lancaster church relay connected worshipers by telephone.
