Mrs Luther Hodges stood in for her husband as the 90th State Fair opened Gov ernor's Day in Raleigh. Attendance rivaled a record as about 100000 visitors were counted yesterday. Winners included Oland Peele with eight prizes in hog events and Allison Rivers dominating junior Tamworth swine. Guernsey honors went to Quail Roost Farm Rougemont and Edesto Farms Denmark won top female titles.

Union Ordered To Show Cause in Charlotte Contempt Case
