A fire at Rosenbacher Brothers ladies furnishings store on a four story building caused heavy loss last night. The second floor stock burned completely while first floor merchandise was damaged by water and smoke. Insurance covered value estimated between 150000 and 175000. The Odd Fellows lodge owns the building.

Queen City Child Killed in Automobile Collision
In Charlotte an eight month old boy, son of Mr and Mrs J W Rowell, died after being thrown from a touring car that overturned in a collision. Driver F L Goodwin, a cotton broker, is held on $2000 bond for investigation. The infant died ten minutes after arrival at a local hospital. Friends say Goodwin is heartbroken.
