Davidson County Gets CCC Camp Extended Six Months
The Civilian Conservation Corps will keep its SCS-7 camp near Lexington, North Carolina, in soil conservation work until March 31, 1939. Fechner announced all North Carolina CCC work is conservation, with eight national forest camps, five private forest camps, two biological survey camps, TVA, Soil Conservation Service supervision, and parks. The state projects will hold 200 or more enrollees, regardless of resignations.
