Raleigh October 5 The North Caro lina Supreme Court yesterday affirmed a lower court ruling in Kemp B. Johnson v Wake County Board of Elections. It favors Johnson as the third official candidate for the Wake County House seat against B H Pate who ran in a second primary. The issue centered on whether Pate forfeited his right to a second primary by withholding his vote for five days while seeming to assent to the first election returns.
Postmaster Farriss reports 430 rented postoffice boxes at the High Point office and an estimated rent intake near $400, based on current figures.
Hone age 30 of Walnut Hill shot and wounded Alphonse Wetterer 49, VP and secretary of Wetterer Brewing, then shot herself dying at home. Mrs Houch, divorced two years, left a note claiming Wetterer wronged her after an apparent personal crisis.

The body of Mrs. Emma Riddleberger, 71, widow of former U S Senator Harry H Riddleberger, was found in a cesspool at the home of her daughter Mrs M W Magruder in Woodstock Virginia yesterday. She had come from Washington suffering melancholia. Three sons and three daughters survive.
