U S Soviet peace pledge draws Israeli criticism
Israeli Foreign Minister Moshe Dayan condemned the U S Soviet declaration on Arab Israeli peace as an attempt to push the PLO into Geneva talks. Dayan warned of an American shift and said the plan could erode positions while Israeli leaders argued it would impede reconvening the peace conference. Finance Minister Ehrlich called it the first sign superpowers seek to impose a solution and said Israel cannot accept such an imposition.
