The Wesley Memorial Methodist church youth division will hold an installation service at 9 45 a m during the church school hour tomorrow. Educational director Miss Mildred Whitener will lead and install the officers with participation from division superintendent Mrs H W McCain senior youths counselor James B Lovelace and other named officers and department representatives.
The Friends in and around Liberty have purchased the M E Church in North Liberty and remodeled it. A monthly meeting was organized Friday evening October 24 by a committee from Western Quarterly Meeting with 41 charter members. The first worship service will be Sunday October 3 at eleven. Thomas F Andrew will deliver the message.
The Children's Home at Five Points has renamed the church as R Lindsay Memorial Methodist Church. Eight new members were received last Sunday with more to join tomorrow. Membership now exceeds sixty. Services are led by Dr. J. D. Williams every Sunday and a communion service will be observed tomorrow.
The Archdale Friends Church plans an 11 o clock service with Pastor Clifton c nm delivering the sermon. A basket lunch and morning meal will be provided, with Frye and I Brotherhood sponsoring the event.
The Main Street Methodist Church in High Point holds Dedication Day on Sunday October 10 with Bishop Clare Purcell presiding over the dedicatory sermon at 8 00 p m and Dr N C Williams delivering the morning sermon at 11 00. By that morning about 37000 in debt will be cleared marking six years of work and the return of many friends from nearby congregations. Rev W R Kelly is in charge with special choir music planned.
