Distress Message Found After Balloon Flight From Chicago
A Chicago ten year old, Terry Stromberg, attached a plea to a gas balloon and released it. A farmer recovered the balloon in a Michigan field near Grand Junction, seventy five miles northeast of Chicago. Police traced the message to the girl who admitted she only wanted to see how far it would travel.
