Marion to bury Mrs. Harding in Marion cemetery

Marion Ohio prepares for the funeral of Mrs. Warren G. Harding widow of the late president. The service will be at Epworth Methodist church with Rev Swank delivering the sermon and Rev Landes offering prayer before the procession to Marion cemetery. A guard of 283 soldiers plus 100 Fort Hayes officers will escort the body.

Masons To Hold Educational Meet In High Point

Arrangements were completed for a Masonry Educational meeting to be held by the Masons of High Point at their lodge hall on East Washington street at 7 30 tonight. A lecture titled George Washington Man and Mason will be illustrated by stereopticon slides. The event, requested by the grand lodge of North Carolina, may include brief talks in addition to the lecture. Master Mason Numa F Reidledge and R K Stewart stressed the aim to inform Masons about George Washington as a Mason.

A D Ward Ford Smashed On Centennial Avenue

A Ford roadster driven by A D Ward was damaged in a collision with another car on Centennial avenue around 7 this morning. Occupants in both vehicles were uninjured. Ward works in the city and is said to live in Ramseur. The roadster sustained side impact, two fenders crushed and splashboard crumpled.

Mayor Hedrick's Car Involved In Collision Here

Mayor John W. Hedrick's Hudson was damaged when it collided with a Studebaker bus on North Main street shortly after noon yesterday. Reports from garages say several people were in both cars but no injuries were reported. A fender and the steering apparatus were damaged.

Tragic Fire Claims Ernest Boyd Near Simpson

In Greenville North Carolina on Sunday morning a dwelling near Simpson five miles from the city burned with Ernest Boyd found dead beside a window as he apparently escaped. The fire’s cause is not yet known.

Sunrise Prayer Service by High Point Christian Endeavor

The High Point Christian Endeavor union will hold a sunrise service at the Friends church Thursday at 7 a.m. Rev N M Harrison dean of men at High Point College will give a brief Thanksgiving address. Afterward hot rolls and coffee will be served and baskets will be distributed to the city’s needy.

Funeral services for Isaac N. Farlow, a respected citizen, were conducted at Marlboro Friends Church yesterday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Tom A. Sykes officiated, with hundreds of friends and relatives in attendance.

The funeral included numerous floral tributes. Pallbearers listed were R. C. Davis, D. F. Davis, D. V. Davis, Pearl Davis, G. F. Loflin and Percey Farlow. The flower carriers were Ina Bulla, Mary Davis, Pearl Davis, Ruth Coltrane, and Theo Ingram.
