Michigan's 1950 upset win seals Rose Bowl bid
In a snowbound clash at Columbus Michigan defeated Ohio State 9 to 3 to claim the Western Conference title. Al Wahl blocked a punt for a safety and Tony Momsen returned a blocked punt for a second score as Michigan led 9 3 at halftime. The second half produced little scoring in 1950 rugged conditions.
