Mrs. Thag West spoke on fundamentals of flower arrangements to the Wayside Garden club at a meeting led by Mrs. Hallenbeck with associate hostesses Alberta Snider and T. W. Sprinkle. She contrasted arrangements with bouquets, discussed proportion and balance, material suitability, color, and noted arrangements should stand at least 11% times the container height.

Miss Elsie Moore attends national Christian Education conference
Miss Elsie Ellen Moore, director of Christian Education at Wesley Memorial Methodist church, left yesterday for Grand Rapids Michigan to attend the national conference of directors of Christian Education held over the next ten days. She will stay at the Panplind hotel and plans to return to High Point on Friday November 25 with a Thanksgiving stop in Cincinnati Ohio to dine with Ralph Tilden of High Point who studies at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and belongs to Wesley Memorial church youth fellowship.
