Market slips as Dow falls after gains fade
The noon Dow Jones industrial average slips 0.66 points to 12.28 as early gains vanish. Advisors say Phase 2 policies and labor support questions weigh on inflation prospects and international money matters, with only moderate selling and a buyer's strike felt in the market. The 60-stock average rises 0.2 to 301.4 as metals and electronics advance, steels dip, and most sectors mix.
