Doctor Says Duke X Ray Units Safe
Dr. Robert McLelland, director of the Breast Cancer Detection Demonstration Project at Duke University, says the xray machines used are safe and modern. He notes radiation doses are kept at the lowest practical level while providing good breast images and says Duke was not among centers reporting excess exposure.

Two Bodies Exhumed And Reburied In NC Case
In Bladen County two women, Josephine Davis and her daughter Aileen Davis, murdered at home on September 6, were exhumed for further study and reburied this week. Superior Court Judge Giles Clark authorized the exhumation. Fingerprints and palmprints were found at the scene and a cause of death determination was requested. Dr. R Page Hudson examined the bodies before reburial. results were not released.
