Duke Power reports nine month gains in customers and income
Duke Power Co posted growth in customers utilities plant and operating revenues for the first nine months of 1966. Customer totals rose to 852 424 on September 30 up from 816 818 the year before with residential connections 32 073 higher. Utility earnings per share rose to 1 268 while operating revenues reached 194.6 million and net income was 30.5 million. Marshall Steam Station adds generating units by 1969 and 1970 pushing capacity over 2 million kilowatts.
