Four Injured When Taxi Hit by Southern Train at West Point Crossing
Four persons were injured, three seriously, when a Winston-Salem taxi was struck by Southern Passenger Train No. 36 at the West Point avenue crossing shortly after 11 o’clock this morning. Everette Stout, 27, Margaret Davis, 30, and Glover B. Regids, 31, suffered serious injuries. Marie Hall had minor injuries. Stout, an Army sergeant on furlough from Fort Jackson, was said to be unconscious about the crash.
