Three Killed In North Carolina Highway Crash
A two car collision on North Carolina Highway 41 near Fairmont left three teens dead Bristow Leggett and Steve Leggett both 17 of Fairmont Route 2 and L K R Turbeville of Red Springs dying in hospital. Man Shoots Self After Attempting Wife Killing
Police report 51 year old Gilbert Schwartz of Monroe shot at his wife from a back doorway as she hung laundry in their yard. After wounding her he placed a .32 caliber pistol in his mouth and killed himself instantly.

Plane Crash Kills Four Tar Heels Near Black Mountain
