High Point Council To Hear Cab Certificate Report
The High Point city council will meet Tuesday with a light agenda including a law and public safety committee recommendation to issue 1947 certificates of convenience and necessity for five cab companies operating 65 taxicabs. The Yellow Taxi request for more cabs was deferred. A public works report will review maps of property subdivisions and resubdivisions. The note adds 700 million pounds of used fats were recovered from August 1942 to July 1946.
