In Galicia Russians push, German claims say attacks repulsed. Macedonian front back to stalemate with Serb repulses along the Cerna river.
The Federal Reserve bulletin reports continued heavy exports and domestic trade, rising prices and full employment. Net inward gold movement remains strong with Europe financing demand and widespread use of acceptance credits. Through mid October, gold inward totals about 204 million, down from 260 million the prior year.
In Hudad New York Charles E Hughes denounced the Democratic party for failing to reduce living costs. He argued they instead cut the chances of earning a living while touting a grand tariff driven program and promised government funding but delivered unexpected outcomes.

Supplemental reports show the Republican national campaign fund at 2,912,535 and the Democratic fund at 1,510,729 as of October 30. Greensboro AP reports the engineer in charge says construction on the Southern railway concrete round house and car foundry will begin next week. The plant will cost about 525000 dollars and will, on completion, house 1118 cars.
The war office says Romanian troops pushed Austrians and Germans back across the frontier during fighting along the Hungarian Romanian boundary. The report notes the action occurred at a specific border point.
The Hughes presidential campaign ends today with a 28 000 mile trek through 55 states.
