Fulfilled ambition in Asheboro man’s dying novel
Cliff Vestal of Asheboro wrote a semi autobiographical tale set in North Carolina about Frank Madison who seeks a better life and the path to becoming a U.S. senator. Vestal finished the manuscript on his death bed at 54, with the work titled Quitter Reclaimed. The saga mirrors Vestal’s life and remains unpublished with uncertain prospects.
