Halloween Night Tragedies Reported Across Cities

Man fatally crushed in scrap baling machine

Wild Animals Escape From Broken Cage in Arkansas
In Ouachita National Forest near Mt Ida Arkansas expert hunters searched for a truckload of man eating circus animals freed when a trailer overturned on a mountain road. A leopard and polar bear along with two hyenas escaped, another leopard was later killed. a young lion from Campa Brothers circus killed a girl trooper during a Tuesday performance near Mena. Warden James A Sheffield led the hunt as icy drizzle fell, with orders to end the chase at dark. The crew hoped to recapture the animals but the polar bear and another beast were deemed too dangerous. The wreck occurred while the convoy headed for Mt Ida for another show.
