In Montgomery a white jury acquitted Raymond C. Britt Jr. and Sonny Kyle Livingston Jr. of dynamiting a Negro church after 95 minutes of deliberation. Secretary held in slaying of former fiance in D.C.

Edith Louise Hough, 41, a private secretary and former fiancée of Zurab Abdusheli, 40, a Voice of America announcer born in Russia, was held on a first degree murder charge after he was found shot six times in her fashionable Washington apartment. Abdusheli had married another woman three weeks earlier. The inquest was ordered for June 13.
