Burling ton Mills Corp. chairman J Spencer Love told NC State College textile students that synthetic fibers trigger a new industrial revolution comparable to the cotton gin and loom era. He said pilots show these fibers will outperform nylon, producing durable products cheaper and able to blend with other fibers. raw material costs are lower than for natural fibers.
