Hosiery Prices to Rise Pass Through to Consumers
The OPA announced that any authorized increase in the price of hosiery and anklets exceeding 20 cents a dozen will be passed on to consumers starting May 27. Smaller increases will be absorbed by wholesalers and retailers. The change stems from a new adjustment provision on knitwear allowing manufacturers to add certain material and labor cost increases.
