President Wilson sent a congratulatory message to Cuba’s President Menocal on the thirteenth anniversary of Cuban independence. The editorial recalls Cuba’s path from Spanish rule to republic, noting U S support in 1902 and again during later political troubles. It lauds Cuba’s progress, peace, and prosperity under American influence and Pan American ties amid wartime Europe.

Under an order of Guilford Superior Court a resale of a High Point land tract is set for June 1 1915 at noon at the Bank of Commerce door in High Point. Voters will cast ballots on Thursday April 29 for a proposed Guilford County courthouse bond. New registration is required and livery voters must register.
