In Cross City Florida May 17 the trial of Walter Higginbotham charged with first degree murder over the death of Martin Tabert North Dakota convict camp inmate was stopped to summon a new venire as the state moved to quash the existing panel for improper drawing. Judge Mallory Horn ordered a new juror panel to be ready by 2 p.m. and the court recessed.

Postponed Wedding Under Mysterious Circumstances
Washington May 17 Indefinite postponement of the wedding of Miss Nancy Hoyt daughter of the late Henry M Hoyt and Lieutenant F Wiseman Clarke of the British navy was announced by Mrs Hoyt. The postponement followed illness of the groom who met Miss Hoyt last summer at Bar Harbor. Clarke left New York with his parents and planned to sail for England. Miss Hoyt’s sister Mrs Elmor Hoyt Hichborn recently divorced Horace Wylie after eloping in 1910. Hichborn later died by suicide.
