Boy Hangs Self During Scout Knot Practice

In West Orange New Jersey a 13 year old Boy Scout, Robert Mowle, died after apparently hanging himself while practicing knots for a troop contest. His mother found him in the family garage after returning from a YWCA meeting. Police say a ladder at 45 degrees and a rope over a beam caused the accidental hanging. Artificial respiration failed to revive him. Mowle was employed as a controller for the Wall Street Journal.
