Broadway Star Carol Haney Dies at 39 Autopsy Planned

New York AP reporting Carol Haney, 39, famed Broadway dancer and choreographer, died Sunday night in a hospital. Known for Steam Heat in The Pajama Game and a Best Supporting Actress nod, she later choreographed Funny Girl and She Loves Me, with acting roles in A Loss of Roses. An autopsy was ordered by the chief medical examiner's office.

Robbers Strike at Biltmore Forest Country Club

Two masked gunmen overpowered night watchman W G West at Biltmore Forest Country Club in Asheville early today. They bound him and looted about $2,000 in cash and jewelry worth several thousand from the club safe using an acetylene torch. The theft also included items Mrs George E Morse had left in the safe.
