He was longtime cashier of the Wayne National Bank and had seven years with the bank department. Survived by his widow a son Hugh Blair Stevens of Goldsboro and one grandchild.

The doffers halted from 3 p m yesterday until 11 a m today. Management and workers announced the raise had been set on a mutually satisfactory basis.
