Slide Presentation Highlights Sheltered Workshop Plans
At the May High Point Junior Woman's Club meeting a slide program explained the Sheltered Workshop project to prepare handicapped adults for public employment through evaluation counseling training placement and follow up. A new building near the Kendall Center in Greensboro is planned to replace the aging facility pending the May 7 bond vote. The workshop aims to serve about 300 workers with government matching grants after a year, and some workers are employed permanently.
