American citizen proof hardships vex aging U S engineer

In Mexico City on May 3, A C Savage a 70 year old civil engineer born in Brooklyn struggles to prove American citizenship for a passport. His career spanned railways from Texas Pacific to the Black Hills, with service as deputy marshal in 1875 76 and as El Paso’s first city engineer.
