Fraulein Fashions Reflect Bad Copies Of Paris Styles
The Berlin fashion scene shows German women embracing Paris copied looks with coarse workmanship and dated hats. Slacks and ski pants dominate street wear with plain coats, ill fitting dresses, and leather shoes worn to cold, uncomfortable effect. Bandannas replace hats and stockings are thick and worn with many darns. The piece contrasts German and French or American style sensibilities.
