A public bulletin board tour highlights scams such as the Spanish swindle and dangerous mail fraud, plus state facts from Federal warnings on bird laws, forged notes, and rewards for catching mail criminals. Rare Antelope Skeleton Found in California Museum Find
A three million year old antelope skeleton was found in Southern California by two oil geologists while mapping a German area for a petroleum company. Dr. Theodore Downs of the Los Angeles County Museum says the species is new to science and unnamed. He estimates the animal lived in the Pliocene, similar to a pronghorn but smaller, about the size of a medium dog.
