CIO Seeks Power To Fight Reds
Atlantic City sources say CIO United Auto Workers will push to amend its constitution at the 1,300,000 member union convention. The change would allow international officers to review cases where locals or members are charged but found innocent of advocating Communist policies. President Walter Reuther urged unity talks with the AFL and called for removing racketeering from waterfront unions as a condition for any merger.
