Thurmond invited to baby shower with diapers and gifts
Sen Thurmond and colleagues at the U S Capitol held a non alcoholic baby shower for the 68 year old South Carolina Republican as his wife nears childbirth. Guests included Sen Hatfield who organized the event and presented varied gifts from Dr Spock book to Winnie the Pooh and even a Confederate flag diaper.
