Campaign Drive Launched for High Point YMCA Build
Officials and workers for the High Point YMCA campaign to raise 2 250 000 for construction announced at a banquet Thursday night that more than 1 million dollars had already been pledged. Co chairmen R T Amos Jr and James H Millis led the program with a slide presentation and Dr Tom Haggai spoke outlining plans for a new family YMCA on North Main Street and renovations at the Carl Chavis Memorial YMCA.
