Rescued pilot to lead college stock clinic in Greenland
Dr William P Matthews and Max Conrad head a joint testing and guidance clinic at High Point College sponsored by the North Carolina Conference of Christian Vocations. Conrad, 62, was rescued after crash landing on the Greenland icecap, walked to a fishing boat, and was airlifted to Goose Bay. The stock market was mixed at noon with gains in industrials offset by declines in cigarette sales. Registrations for the clinic are handled by Rev H Glen Lanier and limited to 25 students.
