After this the science departments in the Junior and senior High gave a program about ecology which is of concern to everyone. Gary Guffey and David Bodenheimer discussed what ecology really is. Dam sheets and Tom Jarvis told How ecology is studied at Allen Jay. Then. Jan Garner and Dayneal Burdette discussed what is wrong with our ecology. The science departments also put up bulletin boards and illustrated experiments. Everyone seemed to enjoy the program very much. We would like to congratulate Lisa Lassiter and Tony Freeman who were the sixth Grade conservation essay winners. Fifteen students from Allen Jay will attend the Fla convention March 24-26. They Are Janet Chandler president and a voting Delegate Kathy Patterson who is running for state vice president and entering the spelling contest Vickie Whittington is entering the Public speaking contest and will be a contestant for the James l White scholarship.
