C Wesley Blair died this morning about 10 o clock at his home one mile southwest of High Point after illness of pellagra. He was a faithful member of Prosper Methodist Episcopal church and is survived by his widow, three sons John Blair of Thomasville Everett and Mack Blair of High Point, four daughters Mrs Anie Kennedy Mrs Carrie Marshall of High Point Mrs Lethia Reddick of Greensboro and Miss Ida Blair of Town. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon 2 30 o'clock at the home with Rev T E B Johnson in charge. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs Mary Brown Sullivan on Lindsay street woke to a pistol shot then saw a fire lighting her room. Across the street, the stables of Chas M Brown burned, trapping Ar Brown above them. Firemen arrived too late. five horses and mules perished, four were saved. A Ford coupe and valuable stock were lost. Incendiary cause suspected. insurance minimal. one unknown person fired the shot. This marks the family’s third fire incident in years.
