Child Fatally Burned Near Proximity in Fireplace Mishap
Greensboro March 11 Arthur Costa Maness two and a half son of Mr and Mrs A Maness of 54 Vine Street Proximity fatally burned Thursday afternoon when his dress caught fire near the fireplace. Mother left child a minute to attend to a duty and returned to find him burning. Flames were smothered with blankets and medical help summoned but he died Friday morning. Funeral at 2 this afternoon from the home conducted by Rev Gordon with burial in Proximity cemetery.
