Thomasville Cyclists Enter Daytona Race
Thomasville riders Wesley Buckner Kennedy Bobby Saintsing and Joe Ence will compete in a three hour 20 minute AMA endurance race at Daytona Beach Florida. Buckner 21 has won 18 of 30 North Carolina flat track races and hopes to build a local interest in motorcycle racing. Kennedy provides guidance and built Buckner the engine for Daytona. Buckner recalls finishing last in Asheboro but says nerves fade after the start.

On Saturday Dickinson opened hot with four birdies in five holes and stood 12 under at the turn. Weiskopf battled back with an eight-foot eagle to trim the margin to one, leaving Dickinson and Weiskopf three strokes ahead of the field. Howie Johnson shot 68 to share third at 206 alongside Yancey and Marti who both totaled 208.
