Resident's Daughter Honored as Outstanding Young Educator
Anne Kerr Parker, daughter of Mrs. Thomas J. Kerr, won the 1969 Outstanding Young Educator Award from Hillsborough Jaycees. A senior English teacher at Orange High School, she has taught at King, Hillsborough, Durham, and Orange High Schools and holds degrees from High Point College and UNC Chapel Hill. She is active in NEA, NCEA, and Delta Kappa Gamma, chairs the Novel Fair 1968, and is adviser to many student activities. Parker is married to S Josh Parker Jr. and has one son.

Miss Linda Christensen staged a dramatic presentation of Joan of Arc for the Agenda Club at their Thursday dinner meeting at the YWCA. A senior at Andrews High School, Christensen has won firsts in Nationsd Forensic League events. She was introduced by program chairman Mrs. Rudy Kana.
