Madrone Tree Review: Humour Horror and Humanism
A negative plot by David Duncan Macmillan blends horror with a human focus in The Madrone Tree. In Jonesville a murderous tree, a Reverend father, a tyrant lumber magnate, and a psychologist with a Siamese cat drive a chilling tale of fear and hidden motives. The town mood, February rain, and stark social tensions frame the suspenseful mystery.
