More than 20 high pointers joined about 200 Toastmasters at the annual Southeastern regional Toastmasters International conference held at the Greensboro Hilton Inn. The North Carolina Department of Revenue requires privilege licenses to be renewed by July 1 with penalties of 5 percent per month for late filings. In High Point, the City Council proposes closing portions of Virginia Place and Brown Place with public hearings set for July 17 and July 1972, and adopts procedures under G.S. 160A-299.
