Elaborate Guilford whiskey still found by officers
In Guilford County near Oakridge and the Greensboro High Point airport officers seized a large upright whiskey still. Deputies captured L. C. Gaddy on probation from federal court while two other men escaped. Authorities destroyed 3,600 gallons of mash and 121 gallons of whiskey and dynamited 14 fermenters and a dam. A 1946 Ford pickup was seized on the site. Gaddy awaits a hearing.
