Rural Davidson County Schools Show Large Increase in Promotions
In Davidson county rural schools the annual report by supervisor Miss Margaret Linker notes a strong rise from the prior year. Elementary enrollment reached 6,237 with 4,088 promoted to the next grade, promotions ranging from 52 percent in first grade to 76 percent in sixth. The improved elementary achievement is cited as boosting high school preparedness.
