Retired Navy Commodore Bitler Dies at 78
Commodore Reuben Oscar Bitler, 78, U S Navy retired, died yesterday at his daughter Mrs John Zabitskys home in Philadelphia. Born in Reading Pa he entered service in 1875 at 16 and served in the Danish American War. He retired in 1912 and was recalled for World War I service. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
