Consumer protection bill sent back to Judiciary II
In Raleigh the consumer protection bill by Atty. Gen. Rufus Edmisten returns to a Senate committee after a nine page amendment crafted with bankers and merchants. The measure would cover all forms of commerce, set civil penalties, and requires House reapproval after Senate action.
