Man Wrongly Imprisoned Receives 115000 From New York
M Campbell, jailed 40 months in Sing Sing for forgeries, was awarded 115000 by New York state for false imprisonment and humiliation. The award covers 75000 for loss of liberty and humiliation and 40000 for lost earnings. Tax implications remain under study but are expected to be favorable.
