The Democratic ticket of Wilson and Marshall is officially nominated and a platform of Americanism is adopted. Strong emphasis on national preparedness and unity follows the nominating convention.
The Democratic convention finalized the platform after 24 hours, backing American preparedness and keeping U S troops in Mexico until order is restored while opposing intervention. It also supports woman suffrage by state, and nominated Woodrow Wilson by acclamation after a lengthy roll call and enthusiastic rally.
City wide revival services conclude as Dr. Black sermons focus on personal choice and its impact on family and society. Crowds hear reflections on Lot and Abraham, with attendees including Company M of the National Guard and secret orders like Odd Fellows and Woodmen of the World.

Joseph F. Blair 76 died at his 301 Phillips Street home this morning. Funeral from his residence Saturday at 10 conducted by Revs. Sylvester Newlin and H. G. Kopenhaver. Interment in Oakwood. Blair served in the Civil War, later active in local veterans groups, survived by wife, three sons Wesley Ed and Carson and ten daughters including Mrs. Canady Gurley Livengood Murphy and Lula Blair.
