During a six week vacation in Mexico D F I observed parks and gardens in Mexico City. Tree preservation there was poor despite a rich metropolis of over a million people. The high altitude and sub tropical climate led to dense palms and a romantic but hazardous park atmosphere.
Frances Blair of Palm High School and Janie Dale Poole of Thomasville School were chosen as Good Citizens in the annual Good Citizenship Pil Eeras Chapter event. They will prepare scrapbooks of activities and achievements for a state contest awarding a $100 prize to the top entry.

Miss Martha Janet Campbell entertained her wedding attendants at an outdoor supper in Jamestown. Eleven guests dined at a picnic table with white cloth. service was assisted by her mother Ethel Campbell and her aunt Gordon Hatchel. Campbell will become bride of Joseph William Cline Friday at Oak Dale Methodist Church in Jamestown.
